What should you look out for and take into consideration when booking?
While serviced accommodation may seem like the perfect option for your relocation, there are some key areas that are worth taking into consideration before you make the leap.
The longer the booking the more chance you have of negotiating a lower nightly rate.
Not all serviced accommodation has allocated parking.
Some will have Sky or Virgin TV package, but not all.
Few have on-site Gym facilities.
The pictures shown on any web sites are only sample pictures, they are rarely of the exact apartment you will be staying in.
If you have a concern about an apartment facing a road or ground floor you should make a specific request where possible.
Not all serviced accommodation has wooden flooring throughout, so if this is important then make sure you check.
Check the cancellation policy, as this varies tremendously and can be anything from 7 nights to 30 nights. There are some who do not operate a cancellation policy at all.
Bookings can be extended, but do not assume that you can extend your stay as new bookings are taken on an hourly basis so availability changes rapidly.
